As a normal habit I was reading headlines from the news paper. It had two main headings – one said “5 persons killed in bomb blast in Delhi”. Second one said “ VHP group attacks Christian churches and hurts 2 priests in Mangalore.” followed by sentences like ‘minorities are not safe in India’. Sr…..so and so asks world Christians to join them to save Christians ….’
This concept of minorities should actually be eradicated.. Why is it that we do not have the maturity to say, ‘2 people attacked’; just like how 5 people were killed in Delhi blasts; 2 were attacked in Mangalore. Actually both the above instances are to be condemned with equal magnitude. Both are to be considered wrong doings by some anti-humans, call them what ever.. the only difference is the degree of loss of human lives, not loss of Christian or Muslim lives.
Can we justify the church requesting Christians to join hand to save minorities… instead cant they ask other fellow citizens to join hands to remove such immoral happenings and control hooligans. I think this will earn them more respect. If they think that this country can’t save them they should not be staying here.
The other day I heard a very educated Muslim friend telling me that he is starting a group to save the Muslim community rights. We got into a discussion and he claimed that they are not being treated equally with other citizens in India. I was shocked to hear this from one individual who is enjoying a good quality life in India. I had to tell him, ‘you have cancer and it is not curable and your type of cancer is contagious…’
I am not against any community; I am against their thoughts that they are not part of this nation. What we need today is a leader who knows how to say ‘harshly’ to all the communities to start calling themselves Indians. Secondly we should ban all the newspapers creating sensations by highlighting communal causalities. It is either the human beings are dead or hurt or it’s an Indian who is dead or hurt…
There is one very controversial speech by the former PM, John Howard, of Australia who asked Muslims to leave Australia. This is what he said:
Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia , as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks.
Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation’s mosques. Quote: ‘IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on Bali , we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Australians.’

Can we share this thought with fellow Indians…. what we need today is a leader who dares… This language is to be used for all those who think they are minorities in India and who feel they need extra privileges…
My Mind's Eye 
India dont need today framing of laws ,policies etc for the development of the country..What india needs today is the opening the eye of the common people(AAVAM) about the degrading dignity of indians. I am not sayin we are not capable of understanding what is going on in our country but actuaally we are accustomemd or like ‘used to’ of these. If there is a bomb blast in our country or a scandal(normally the case), wat comes to our mind is that its just the matter of main headline of next moring newpaper.
we are heading for the development but without the dignity of oursefves, we will be treated same no matter how strong our GDP index with hatred as we are treated from the last hundreds of years. Without dignity for our country we stand nowhere in the international platform.
But what actuallly the real need of india??
Is it the education of the masses?
Is it framing laws for the upliftment of farmers, workers, women,children etc??
Is it the trusting these ‘ Holy Ashram Gurus’ and to bring back our original indian culture??….
List is endless but i have come to the point that what india needs is the INDIAN with a self dignity of himself/herself ..for his/her country., who feel ashamed when foreigners mock for our culture ,society , customs .
Thus with all ongoing activities what India needs is the Citizen with that love,feeling of his/her own country , with the dignity and respect of his origin which severly lacking now..
But just mindless love/feeling going to change India?? Answer is still no.. Because what customs, rituals thriving in our country sorry to say most of them are deteriorating our country. Wthere it is childmarriages, widow hatred, caste division..should these be followed by the Enthusiastt filled Citizen for the development of india as these are rooted into our culture should be followed mindlessly?? ( what i really feel but not certain is that these customs were never part of our ancinet india, but htese were incorporated into our society by so called ‘PANDITS’ of that medival era of our country. They exploited the poor through these for their benifit. And it is because of these things, our actual HINDU DHARM was diluted and poisoned. )
NO is still the answer…!!!
My final view is that India need is that one INDIAN with weapon of FORMAL education in his hand, who has revernce for our country and who codemn these so called ritual and hard thinking of the masses for the love of the country.
To be honest we need “AAVAM” to rise for this cause. Nothing else will suffice.
Abhishek, thoughts well placed. I totally agree with most of your points. But want to humbly disagree on your comments on culture. Abhihek culture is not just those few you have mentioned. But lets accept today all of those have reduced to such an extent, that any one instance can create sensation.
We have certain culture and traditions which are so rich which is the driving force behind. But i certainly agree on the point of “dignity” . India certainly needs today the opening the eye of the common people(AAVAM) about the dignity of Indians, again I would say is not degrading. But needs to be accepted. Awareness…& acceptance is the key.
Gouranga Das, Now a days our leaders made our country on so many parts between peoples. For their vote bank they give previlages to any one who wants and asure to vote them. Options are blocked to chalange it by any one. Even Bangladeshi also counted as our citizen and all the previlages provided to them. Education is most powerfull wepon for their illigal works. so they provide low quality education to the socity with so much desine like mid-day-meel etc. the teachers are trained not to teach the truth about them but to manage the desine. Being a normal person my nopinion is that one more freedom fight is needed for the well being of we Indians.
