No time to stand and stare

Don’t know whom to blame? The question because it is easy to blame others or external situation. Every morning, what ever the time I get up, begins with a hot cup of coffee and the laptop. I don’t remember when I last stepped out of my house at 5 in the morning.

I have a lot of reasons for not doing so. Urgent work to compete mails to reply it today, when I did stepped out at 5.30 AM. I never knew my little garden was so beautiful. The chillness was still in the air. The water dew’s still safe on the leaves. The green looking as fresh as new born. One of the rose creeper was almost touching the ground due to the weight of the bunch of rose at the end. The pink bunch has almost a dozen beautifully bloomed roses. The row of Anthurium pots were in full bloom. More than 8-10 ‘red flower’ in each pot. The redness in cach flower competing with each other. The feel of the flower was just like heaven. I just realized how I rush past through every morning just looking and saying ‘Wow’. A poem I read ages ago NO TIME TO STAND AND STARE, came to my mind.

NO TIME TO STAND AND STARE

What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.

No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.

No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.

No time to turn at Beauty’s glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.

No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.

A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

Standing and staring today, I completely forgot I had to pick up my guest from the railway station. It is altogether a different story that I rushed and got them, at a time when they concluded, I may not come. I reached just 40minutes late 🙂
